Logrona to Najera: September 10, 2014: Day 11

Today was a long hot walk without any real attractions other than meeting a couple of our Irish lady friends at a community well where we could all wine and complain about the heat and our sore feet.  We were so grateful to arrive at our alberque, which is nice.  We are sharing our room with 8 other people.  One of them is an American from Kentucky.  We all followed out regular routine ok showering, washing our clothes and taking a nap.  My feet were burning and I could hardly wait to put them up.  My leg is aching from the rod I it.  It does not seem to be taking to well to the constant pounding.

Tonight I was visiting with a man from Ontario, Canada.  He only has a few more days befor he has to go home.  He was waiting for news is his second grandchild being born.  Our general conversation was about the Camino was how it is harder than we expected and being a little disappointed that we have not had more meditative time with our waking.  We both felt like it takes so much concentration with our routines of finding a place to stay, following the trail and dealing with physical challenges that we are not getting much spiritual reflection time.
A few minutes later I was talking to a woman who is walking it for the second time for the second year in a row.  She says this is very normal.

She also had some tips for us on how to find Pilgrim masses in towns.
